CSLA Foundation
The California School Library Foundation is a tax-exempt charitable foundation, Tax ID = 501(C)3 20-186424
.The Foundation has among its purposes to offer scholarships and grants to encourage professional growth and support library services in educational setting, along with other charitable and educational activities associated with this purpose and goals.
In conjunction with the CSLA Foundation and through a variety of projects and programs, the California School Library Association has developed the California Campaign for Strong School Libraries. This campaign, consisting of marketing and advertising promotion in targeted areas throughout California designed to raise awareness about the importance of strong school libraries for our children.
The outreach of the campaign is designed to impact school administrators, legislators, parents, students, educators, and anyone who could advocate the importance of your child’s access to a library staffed by a credentialed teacher librarian, clerical staff and a budget to support important resources for reading, research and creative projects.
The CSLA Foundation also has a Remembrance, Tribute and Planned Giving Fund (see below) for members, friends, and families to donate to the Foundation in honor of an individual or occasion.
Donations submitted to the Foundation will help fund projects and programs dedicated to helping school library professionals and support staff to create projects for their students, faculty and/or administrators; develop legislative campaigns that support requirements for school libraries; and design curriculum and instruction that will benefit our students for years to come.
