Above and Beyond Scholarship
Recognizing the need for more Teacher Librarians who have advanced degrees, or who are National Board Certified, the Above and Beyond Scholarship has been established by to encourage practicing library media teachers to pursue either a Master’s or Doctorate degree in librarianship or in a related field, or who is pursuing National Board Certification as a library media teacher. The scholarship is  in the amount of $1,000. The scholarship will be awarded to a professional member of CSLA who is enrolled in an advanced degree program, or who is currently working toward National Board Certification as a library media teacher. DEMCO/Betty Barkema School Library Improvement Grant
The purpose of the DEMCO/Betty Barkema School Library Improvement Grant is to provide library furniture, supplies, and promotional materials necessary to create a stimulating learning environment. The amount of the grant is $5,000. Applicants must be CSLA members. It is the intent of the California School Library Association and DEMCO, Inc., the grant sponsor, that this grant be used to move a substandard library toward excellence. Leadership for Diversity Scholarship
Recognizing the need for library media teachers who reflect the diversity of California's multicultural, multilingual population, the California School Library Association (CSLA) has established a Leadership for Diversity Scholarship. One award of $1,500 will be given to an individual enrolled in a college or university library media teacher credential program. Northern Region Scholarships

Jewell Gardiner Memorial Scholarship

The Northern Section of CSLA awards a $1,000 scholarship twice each year to an outstanding CSLA NS member enrolled in a Teacher Librarian Credential program. Paraprofessional Scholarship
The CSLA Northern Section recognizes the need for trained and qualified library technicians in Northern California and has established an educational scholarship for library paraprofessionals. The purpose of this scholarship is to assist library paraprofessionals in completing a school library technician/paraprofessional certificate program OR a class/classes that support the school library program through job-related skills. Paraprofessionals may apply for up to $100 reimbursement per class, which can include tuition, books, and parking.  Availability of scholarship is subject to availability of funds, with up to $500 available each year, July – June. Southern Region Scholarships

Library Media Teacher Scholarship
Recognizing that there is a need for professional school Teacher Librarians, the California School Library Association-Southern Section offers scholarships in the amount of $1,000 each. The purpose is to assist those persons seeking preparation leading toward a degree or credential which will qualify the individual to work as a professional in the library media field in a school setting. Paraprofessional Scholarship
CSLA Southern Section recognizes the need for trained and qualified library technicians in Southern California. Therefore the Southern Section of CSLA has established an educational scholarship in the amount of $500 for library paraprofessionals. The purpose is to assist school library paraprofessionals in completing a school library technician/paraprofessional certificate program or obtaining a teaching credential with the ultimate goal of pursuing a Library Media Teacher Services Credential.
